The advisory also warns of strong southerly to south-eastern winds, particularly in coastal areas and in parts of the South-eastern lowlands, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya.

The advisory also warns of strong southerly to south-eastern winds, particularly in coastal areas and in parts of the South-eastern lowlands, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya.
“The strong southerly to South-eastern winds with speeds exceeding 25 knots (12.86 m/s) are expected over the Coast (and Kenya’s territorial waters), the South-eastern lowlands, North-eastern and North-western Kenya,” the department stated.
These strong winds, which may exceed 46 km/h, pose risks to small boats, marine activities, and outdoor events.
The department urged caution and encouraged the public to stay informed through daily updates.
“Boaters and those living along the coast should be extra careful due to the expected rough seas,” the department said.
The advisory remains in effect for the next four days, with warnings extended to areas likely to experience severe weather conditions.
Residents in affected regions have been urged to take precautionary measures.
